| The PASS CREED We like to see patients …… it is why we became PAs/NPs. All our efforts should be in that direction. Even the most trivial complaint is a concern to the patients or they wouldn't take the time and effort to see us. There is something wrong with everyone that walks through your doors even if it is just an ineffective personality or poor parenting skills. The happy, healthy, well adjusted, and educated won't visit. Patients: Feed our souls and families Are required for this job Make our job tolerable Make our job interesting A patient who believes he was seen in a caring, conscientious manner will heal faster and be less litigious. Treating the system is not satisfying, treating patients is. We are visitors in their house, act like a guest. Nurses are your link to everything, staff, patients, and administration. Treat them like the invaluable tool they are. The system is working, and has been for a long time. Change and improvement come about slowly. Remember this is the real world for many people. |
